Ruff Stuff cycle event 2025
A diary date for all the budding cyclists among you - Woodbridge Rotary’s, ‘Ruff Stuff’ 2025 Charity Cycle Ride is being planned for Sunday 26th October 2025.

The ride will start and finish at Butley Village Hall, just outside Woodbridge. The route will be on the highways and byways of Suffolk and through the wooded area of the local forest.
Remember: this is a ride, not a race, and is suitable for all ages. There will be 10, 25 and 30 mile routes. Light refreshments will be available before, during and after the event.

Please note that this year the event coincides with Network Rail closing the railway level crossings at Melton (on the A1152) and the country lane at Ufford; it is applicable to all traffic including pedestrians and cyclists.
Therefore access to Butley for cars from the Woodbridge direction is only via A12 and then B1078 through Campsea Ashe and Tunstall.
However, those who normally cycle from the Woodbridge area can cross the railway at Melton Boatyard (Dock Road, IP12 1PE). We’ve arranged with the owner to access the river path across his boatyard, from where cycles can then be taken the short distance to Wilford Bridge, avoiding the closed crossing.
