Woodbridge Rotary Legend Reaches Landmark 100th!
And still going very strong...
July 2026
A recent Rotary lunch meeting saw fantastic celebrations for our very own Ron Hepworth MBE reaching his 100th birthday.
Ron joined WRC in 1973 and has overseen many projects, helped raise thousands for good causes, and remains an important and active Rotarian; still presiding over the annual carol concert on Market Hill, welcoming Father Christmas with an enthusiasm, almost matched by the children who get the chance to meet the Man in Red!

Christmas Carol Service 2026
Market Hill, Woodbridge
December 16, 2026
6pm Start
The annual community Carol Service is a real flagship night for Woodbridge Rotary. Always free to attend, it is a fantastically well-supported event that, for many, kicks off the festive celebrations.
As always there will be a voluntary collection to support charities. Usually, the headline charity is one which supports children in their hour of need, so please come with what you can afford to donate!
After the service we will have a special guest arrive, all the way from Lapland, giving sweets out to all the children, yes... you guessed correctly, Father Christmas will be making an early visit to Woodbridge!

FUNDS RAISED FOR TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

Plans already afoot for next year!
Hosted by Quizmaster; Lee Thompson, (question setter for Vernon Kay's "Ten-To-The-Top" on BBC Radio 2), this new Rotary event proved to be a fantastic success on Friday night (20/03).
The event sold it out in the week leading up to the event, meaning 100 participants across 20 teams made up of 4-6 members battled it out to the top of the chart and raised over £1,000 for The Teenage Cancer Trust. The competitive tension ran high with a few teams fighting it out towards the end but eventual winners; The Material Girls did a very impressive job of scoring 175 out of a possible 220 and won the cash prize and the trophy.
Carrying off the wooden spoon prize to help them revise for next year - a copy of Lee's book; The Official Charts Quiz, The 46s were marvellous sports.
Look out for details of next years event!
